Clementine Cage

Clementine Cage departed this life Thursday, Nov. 8,
2018, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1949, to the late Charlie and Emma Davenport. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a former member of the Morning Star M.B. Church in the Floweree Community. Ms. Cage attended Rosa A. Temple
High School. She worked at Kuhn Memorial as a labor and delivery tech for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Emma Davenport; sisters Clara Ree Little, Erma J. Davenport, Mary L Brown; brother David Oats and a special nephew who was like a son, Tevis Davenport.
She leaves to mourn her passing four sons, Daryl Peoples (Sylvia) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dejuan Cage (Wyniki), Demond Cage (Wanda) and Korey Cage, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Bridget (Tony) Clash, Audrey Peoples and Jennifer (Walter) Kelly, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, Nathaniel (Betty) Davenport of Miami, Florida and Floyd (Lillian) Davenport of Vicksburg; two sisters, Hattie (Columbus) Williams and Shirley (Lucius) Hinkle, both of Vicksburg; a host of grandchildren, including Shakirey Peoples, Shakourya Peoples, Cameron Kelly, Amaya, Keshon, Tony, Terri and Taya Cage, and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including the Davenport and Guise families.
She is the stepmother to the late Robert (Deborah) Cage Jr., Ernest (Rachel) Cage, Mabel Jennings, Rosie Cage, all Of Vicksburg, Beverly (Floyd) Aikerson of Lorman, Robbie Davis of Oxford, and Ida Torry of Fort Worth, Texas.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Casey Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, from 1-7 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
