Swillie and Reddick to wed Jan. 5

Scotty and Georganne Swillie of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Claire Swillie to Hunter Dale Reddick, the son of Sean and Amy Reddick of West Monroe, Louisiana.
Miss Swillie is the granddaughter of George McGuffee of Monroe, Louisiana, and the late Wanda McGuffee, Joyce Parkerson of West Monroe, Louisiana, and the late Rufus Swillie.
Mr. Reddick is the grandson of Michael and Linda McDermott of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Kim Jump of Cleveland, Missouri, and the late Michael Jump, Merrilyn Lincecum of West Monroe, Louisiana, and the late Chester Lincecum.
The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Warren Central High School and a 2014 graduate of Louisiana Tech University where she received a bachelor’s degree in pre-professional speech language pathology. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Louisiana in Monroe in speech language pathology. She is employed at the Ridgecrest Community Care Center in West Monroe, where she is a speech-language pathologist.
Mr. Reddick is a 2011 graduate of West Monroe High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is employed with the Monroe Police Department as a police officer.
The wedding will be held at 5 p.m., Jan. 5, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Club. All friends and family are invited to attend.
