Funeral services for Jeff Carson Jr., are to be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, in Pleasant Valley M. B. Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edmond E. Gibbs officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Nov. 16, in the funeral home.

Jeff Carson Jr., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was 83. He was a retired crane operator and member of Pleasant Valley M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Carson Sr., and Rebecca Ross; his brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Charlie Mae McDonald.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Carson of Vicksburg; his three sons, Billy Ray McDonald and Albert Lee McDonald, both of Vicksburg, and Arthur Lee Carson of Red Lick; his two daughters, Annie Carson and Ruby McDonald, both of Vicksburg; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
