A weekly recap of performances by college football and NFL players from Vicksburg-area high schools:

• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had three tackles and one pass breakup in a 16-7 win over Abilene Christian.

• Middle Tennessee cornerback Chris Stamps (Warren Central) had three tackles in a 34-23 loss at Kentucky.

• Alcorn State wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) caught one pass for 17 yards in a 24-3 win against Jackson State.

• Jackson State cornerback Alexander Shaw (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle in the Tigers’ loss to Alcorn State.

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started at right guard in a 36-29 loss to Vanderbilt.

• Southern Miss receiver DeMichael Harris (St. Aloysius) caught one pass for minus-8 yards in a 21-20 win vs. Louisiana Tech.

• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) started at left tackle in the win against Louisiana Tech.

• Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had three tackles and one pass defense in a 38-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
