Bonnie Floyce Thomas Hill

Bonnie Floyce Thomas Hill died Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at the Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 80.

Born in Hollandale, Jan. 10, 1938, she lived most of her life in Hollandale, where she graduated from Hollandale High School in 1956.

In December 1956, she married Charles Hill and lived most of her married life in Greenville. She graduated nursing school in 1972 and was employed at King’s Daughters Hospital, retiring in April 1990. She then moved to the Family Medical Center from 1990 to 1999.

In December 2002, she and Charles moved to Vicksburg to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Her enjoyment was gardening and attending Bovina Baptist Church, where she became a member on Aug. 17, 2008.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Leroy and Johnnie Mae Williams Thomas; her husband,Charles Hill and her son, Wayne Hill; her brothers, Charles Thomas, Buddy Thomas, Billy Thomas and Jimmy Thomas

Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Diane Stevenson of Vicksburg and Vicki Harter of Waverly, Georgia; her son, Mike Hill of Vicksburg; her four sisters, Martha Thomas of Jackson, Mildred McKay and Joan Gordon both of Brandon and Marilyn Parrish of Irving, Texas; her brother, Larry (Janice) Thomas of Pontotoc; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at Bovina Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6  to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home

Pallbearers will be J.T. Hill, Jeremiah Harter, Klent Stevenson, Michael Hill, Billy Williams, Nathan Ashley and Gage Quimby.

Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
