Thank you, Warren County, for your hospitality

To the editor:

I wanted to express our gratitude and appreciation to Warren County for the hospitality we received this week. My daddy’s murder trial got moved to Warren County this past year and although it was dismissed Dec. 12 as a mistrial, we were overwhelmed by the kindness of every single person who crossed our path.

Sherriff Pace of Warren County came in personally to let us know if we needed anything to let him know and he expressed his sympathy for our loss. Judge Chaney did an amazing job and we appreciate his time. We want to say thank you to each juror for their time also.

A huge thank you to the staff at the court house, I wish I knew them all by name, but they went above and beyond to make us feel safe and welcomed.

From the guy who opened the door each time we went in and out, to Mr. Everett, who made sure if we had any needs or questions to let him know, to the poor guy who had to wand us every time we entered and re-entered the court room (and trust me it was too many times to count, and he never seemed frustrated. He was very patient and kind), everyone was truly amazing!

Vicksburg you are blessed beyond measure to have such an awesome staff serving your city.

We look forward to coming back in 2019 for a new trial. Until then, God bless.
