“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.” — Robert Fulham.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, James Purvis Hoben passed away in his home with his loving wife Jeannie Hoben by his side.

Purvis was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and a lifetime outdoorsman. Purvis’ love and compassion for animals showed in his everyday activities. He opened his home to many homeless cats and dogs. He had a big heart and was loved by many.
