Robert Frank Pell Jr., died on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at Merit Health River-Region Medical Center. He was 63.

Robert was born in Crystal Springs on Dec. 8, 1955, to his parents Robert Frank Pell, Sr. and Myrtle Campbell Pell. He had lived in Vicksburg for many years and had been Chief of the LeTourneau Volunteer Fire Department since 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Ashley and Craig Pell, and his brother, Albert James Pell.

He is survived by his wife, Laveda Pell of Vicksburg; his sons, Sonny Pell (Ashley) of Utica and Spencer Pell (Shannon) of Pearl; sisters, Linda Storey of Vicksburg and Cathy Bauer of Crystal Springs; brother, Jimmy Pell of Pearl and grandchildren, Zoe Pell, Stephanie Pell, Kendall Pell, Tatum Pell and Christian Michael Landcaster.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan 3, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be the members of the Volunteer Fire Department.
