Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Friday just after noon, Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of a white Chrysler driving erratically with the driver seemingly being distracted.
According to Pace, deputies pulled the vehicle over near the Highway 27 and 80 intersection and smelled the strong odor of marijuana as they approached the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered five individual packages of high-grade marijuana totaling approximately 3.5 ounces.
Sheriff investigators said the street value on the quality marijuana is approximately $2,500 if sold individually as it was packaged.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jackie Jordan Duff, 38, of Monroe, Louisiana, was arrested and charged with felony control of substance. He was booked into the Warren County jail and bonded out later Friday on a $5,000 bond.
