After a disappointing loss to Region 4-6A rival Clinton earlier in the week, Warren Central’s boys soccer team showed it could still hang with the state’s powers.

Brandon Gilliam scored off an assist from John William Madison, and keeper Chase Graham made 10 saves as the Vikings tied Brandon 1-1 on Thursday.

Matt Burke scored late in the second half for Brandon (12-2-4).
