Pace said the domestic violence charge was based on an affidavit filed by Warren County Constable Troy Kimble.

According to sheriff’s office reports, Kimble was in a store when he noticed one of the employees had bruising on the face and bruises on the neck consistent with choking. He talked to the employee, who identified the assailant as Ezell.

“The victim met all the statutory requirements for domestic violence, and choking is a felony,” Pace said.

Kimble filed the affidavit and went with deputies to Ezell’s home, where he was arrested on the misdemeanor warrant. After his appearance on the theft charge, Ezell was served with the warrant for felony domestic violence.
