With one boys soccer state championship trophy already in the case, the St. Aloysius Flashes are increasingly looking like they’re ready to add another.
Ryan Theriot scored four goals, all off assists from his brother Kieran Theriot, as the Flashes thumped Park Place Christian Academy 5-2 on Monday to clinch the MAIS District 3-AAA championship.
Kieran Theriot scored St. Al’s other goal.
St. Al (12-1, 8-0), the defending MAIS Class AAA champion, won its second district title in four seasons and will have home field advantage for the first two rounds of the playoffs. It has three regular-season games remaining before the postseason begins Feb. 19.
The first two rounds of the playoffs are played at campus sites. The championship game is Feb. 24 at Jackson Prep.
