City police seek two suspects in Feb. 6 drive-by shooting

Vicksburg Police have issued warrants for two men involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Nicholas Rashad Murray, 18, 195 Lake Dockery Drive, Byram, and Latrell Ward, 19, 902 Blossom Lane, Vicksburg, face charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling and drive-by shooting.
They were last seen driving a 2006 Silver Nissan Altima.
According to police reports, officers responding to the shooting call at108 Enchanted Drive were told by the homeowner he and the two other adults in the house were awakened by gunshots, one of which entered their home. No one was injured.
Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said police believe the shooting was the result of a disagreement between the homeowner and one of the men involved in the shooting.

In other cases:
• Bettye Jean Robertson, 46, 523 Hall Road, is charged with home invasion/burglary in a Wednesday incident in which she forced her way into a home in the 2300 block of Hunt Street and took a purse.
She was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
• Charles Earl Thomas, 59, 113 Sherman Ave., was arrested on a Vicksburg police warrant charging him with uttering forgery.
He was released on $15,000 bond.
• Shots were reported fired about 7:54 p.m. Thursday in the area of Ethel St.
• A TV was reported missing about 8:18 p.m. from an apartment at the Locust Apartments, 402 Locust St.
