Graveside services for Laura Ruth Palmer Baker, 87, of Natchez, who died Feb. 3, 2019, at Promise Specialty Hospital were held Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, with Judge Forest A. Johnson officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker was born Sept. 24, 1931, in Preston, the daughter of Henry Curtis Palmer and Elsie Burrage Palmer. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #75 OES. Mrs. Baker was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Raymond G. Baker of Natchez; one sister, Nan Casciaro of Meridian; one niece and three nephews.
