Vicksburg man, two others indicted for shooting

A Vicksburg man has been indicted on multiple charges accusing him of shooting a man and attempting to rob him in November 2017.

Jalin Hargrove, 22, 425 Lake Hill Drive, is charged with aggravated assault and attempted robbery in the case. The indictment also charges two unknown people, listing them as “John Doe No. 1” and “John Doe No. 2,” with aggravated assault and attempted robbery.

The charges involve a Nov. 3, 2017, case in which Hargrove and the two unknown assailants shot the victim multiple times wounding him in the abdomen, side and head. Hargrove turned himself in to police after the shooting.

In other indictments:

• James Earl Nowell, 37, 2959 Scott Road, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, shooting at a motor vehicle, drive-by shooting and possession of a weapon after felony conviction involving a Dec. 7, 2018 case in which he is accused of shooting at a couple in the car while he was in another car.

• Walter Lee Freeman Jr., 44, 461 Gibson Road, possession of cocaine.

• Willie Donnell Jones, 51, 1224 Second North St., was charged in two indictments with sale of cocaine.

• Adolph Carson, 44, 106 Kelly Circle Apt. 4, four counts of vehicle burglary.

• Robert Lee Devoils Jr., 21, 81 Chucks Drive, Rolling Fork, and Keuntey Ousley, 20, 173 Day St. Rolling Fork, three counts of vehicle burglary.

• David Lewis Brown, 33, 765 Hankinson Road; Haden Taylor King, 32, 115 JA Wes Drive; Joshua Andrew Rush, 34, 305 Bazinsky Road; Brian Keith Williamson, 24, 305 Bazinsky Road; and John Wayne Williamson, 37, 15 Fog Drive, nonresidential burglary; receiving stolen property.
