Rosa LeMay, age 85, of Vicksburg passed from this life to heaven on Feb. 22, 2019, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 27, 1933, in Bovina. She attended J. H. Culkin Academy, graduating in 1951 as Valedictorian, Senior Class President, Homecoming Queen, Football Cheerleader and MVP of the basketball team. The day following graduation, she married her childhood school sweetheart, Perrin J. Griffing, Sr. After losing Perrin Sr., at the age of 23 to Hodgkins Lymphoma Disease, she married John Henry LeMay in 1956. Rosa was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for many years.

She spent many days listening to gospel music. Love for all sports was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved watching her kids play sports and rarely missed a game. At the age of 70, she learned to operate the computer, so she could listen to her grandson play baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels.
