Memorial services for Johnnie Lee Shears are to be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 2 p.m.

Johnnie Lee Shears passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21 in Merit Health River Oaks Hospital following a brief illness. He was 45.   

He had worked for the Warren County Road Department and as a private security officer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ludella Mae Shears; his son, Johnnie Lee “Jake” Shears; and a sister, Caffie Mae Shears

He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Shears and Melissa Shears, both of Vicksburg, and his father, James Shears Sr., of Utica; his two brothers, Willie James Shears and James Shears Jr., both of Vicksburg; and his two sisters, Geneva Shears and Carol Marie Shears, both of Vicksburg.
