Funeral services for Caldonia Meeks Thomas are to be held on Saturday, March 2, in the Church of the Holy Trinity at 1 p.m. with the Rev. R. T. Middleton, III officiating; interment shall follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, March 1, in the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.

Caldonia Meeks Thomas passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, in Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 94. 

She was a retired school counselor from the Warren County School System. She was a member of St Mary’s Episcopal Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Peal Hughes Meeks; her husband, David E. Thomas Sr.; daughter, Ka’Lannye Thomas; sons, John Thomas and David E. Thomas Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Kary Thomas Johnson of Vicksburg, and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
