Etta Pauline Cook

Etta Pauline Cook died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center. She was 71. 

Mrs. Cook was born in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late Milton Ray Black and Helen Mullins Black. She had been a resident of Vicksburg since 2005. She was a former member of the Clanton, Alabama Lions Club. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Walter Cook; a son, Steven Wayne Allen; two brothers, Milton Eugene Black and Michael Ray Black; a sister, Sharon Darby; and a grandson, Steven Page Allen.

Mrs. Cook is survived by three daughters, Tonya Patino (Jose) of Clanton, Alabama, Donna Marie Cook-Gray (Dusty) of Vicksburg, and Laurie Anne Cook (Curtis); a son, Michael Eugene Allen of Montgomery, Alabama; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. E.L. Sharp officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Gray, Luis Patino, Jared Hall, Aaron Moates, John Rousey, Jr., and Mason Patterson.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
