Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Shelton of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Caitlin Shelton to James Thornton Edwards, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Thornton Edwards of Memphis, Tennessee.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Shelton of Vicksburg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald B. Tennant of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Miss Shelton is a 2007 graduate of Warren Central High School and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a Masters of Accountancy degree. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Miss Shelton is employed as the Corporate Accounting Manager, with Jernigan Capital, Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mr. Edwards is a 2007 graduate of the Memphis University School and a 2015 graduate of Auburn University, with a Master of Finance and Master of Business Administration. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Mr. Edwards is employed as a Financial Advisor with Raymond James and Associates, in Memphis, Tennessee.

The couple will exchange vows Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Crawford Street United Methodist Church and a reception will follow at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.
