Khari Charles Jefferson, 35, passed away at his home in Boston on Feb. 19, 2019.

Charles devoted his life to advocacy, spending the last 15 years working with non-profits to support the most vulnerable populations. He was the founder of Queeri in addition to playing an active role in Black Lives Matter Boston & Cambridge, Violence in Boston, BMEN Foundation, Black & Pink, and others.

Charles is survived by his mother, Beverly Jefferson; brothers, William and James; sisters, Ashley and Erica; godchild, Egypt Delgado; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services were held March 9, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Charles’s family will be hosting a celebration of life at the Vicksburg home of Fred and Sharon Causey on May 24, from 1-4 p.m. All who loved Charles are welcome.
