Johnnie Craig Wood of Brandon and Sheila Brewer Wood of Flowood announce the engagement of their daughter Marlee McKenzie Wood, to Sean Michael Weaver, the son of Frank J. Weaver II and Marcia Weaver of Vicksburg.

Miss Wood is the granddaughter of Carrie Wood of Pearl.

Mr. Weaver is the grandson of Marjorie Martin and Joy Adams all of Vicksburg and the late Bobby Adams and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weaver Sr.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School where she was an Honor Graduate and co-captain of the cheerleading squad. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she received a master of occupational therapy degree. While at Ole Miss she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She is employed at Merit Health System as an occupational therapist.

The groom-elect is a 2009 graduate of St. Aloysius High School where he was an Honor Graduate and served as the captain of the baseball team. He attended Hinds Community College and was a member of the baseball team. He is a 2014 graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a 2018 graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he received a doctor of physical therapy degree. He is employed at Elite Performance and Rehab where he is a physical therapist.

The wedding will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at Fondren Church in Jackson. A reception will follow at the Old Capitol Inn.
