Vicksburg man charged with stealing guns from home

A Vicksburg man is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond charged with residential burglary in the theft of firearms from a home in the 3000 block of Claremont Circle.
Jeffery Shelley, 42, 1950 Hope St., is accused of taking an AR-15 and a Ruger 6.5mm Creedmoor assault rifle during a reported Friday burglary of the home.
In other cases:
• Shots were reported fired about 1:52 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Cain Ridge Road. Nothing was found.
• Shots were reported fired about 2:20 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Ken Karyl Avenue.
• A house and three vehicles were reported damaged by gunfire in the 300 block of Cairo Drive about 10:39 p.m. Friday.
The occupant of a house in the area reported a shot was fired into a bedroom of the house. No one was injured. The owners of the vehicles, a Chevrolet Colorado pickup, a Chevrolet Cobalt and a Dodge Charger all reported damage by bullets during the same time.
• A woman told police Saturday her daughter took her debit cards and used them to get $1,586 in cash while the woman was in the hospital.
• A car radio was reported taken about 11:03 p.m. Saturday from a Ford Explorer parked at Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington St.
