Jefferson County, Arkansas, authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the death of a Vicksburg man whose body was found Monday.

Farmers found the unclothed body of Steven Keith Heigle, 36, of Vicksburg lying in a field near Arkansas 65 about 4:45 p.m. Monday, said Alicia Dorn, public information officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She said deputies found Heigle’s clothes near by.

Dorn said Heigle’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.

The death remains under investigation.
