MDWFP rolls out auto-renewal option for hunting licenses

JACKSON — The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks has launched a new hunting and fishing licensing system and customer dashboard in an effort to make license purchases easier.

The new system features an auto-renew option for all annual hunting and fishing licenses. Hunters and fishermen can opt-in for this process upon purchasing a new license, and their eligible licenses will automatically renew before the annual expiration date.

Logging into the system requires a driver’s license number and issuing state, date of birth, and state of residence. Opting in to automatically renew a license can be done with the click of a button.

Automatic license renewals are not limited to online license sales. If a license is purchased from the offline sales channels offered by MDWFP, license holders can log in to the new customer dashboard, post-purchase, and enroll in the auto-renew program.

The hunting and fishing customer portal and automatic license renewals were developed at no cost to the state of Mississippi through a self-funded, public-private partnership between the state and eGovernment partner Mississippi Interactive.
