Burglars steal thousands of dollars in goods from business

A total of 40 Xbox and PlayStation video game consoles were among the items taken in the reported burglary of Pretend City Costumes and More, 2424 Washington St. Police did not list a value on the Xbox and Playstation video games.

Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said the break-in was reported about 9:47 a.m. Monday.

Besides the video consoles, four video games valued at $2,000, four toy drones valued at $500, an electric guitar valued at $200, silver ice cream maker valued at $400, one JBL headset, valued at $1,500, and $18 from the cash register were reported taken.

Edwards said the building was entered by kicking in a rear door, and the suspect or suspects turned all the surveillance cameras toward the ceiling to avoid being identified.
