PHILADELPHIA — Services for Carlene Butler will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 2 p.m. from Salem Baptist Church in Neshoba County with the Rev. Matt Pittman, the Rev. Scott Vaughn and the Rev. Duaine Morgan officiating.

Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 5 until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel, and one hour prior to service at the church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Butler, 72, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

She was a native of Neshoba County and lived in Vicksburg for several years before moving back to the Burnside Community in Neshoba County.

She was a retired registered nurse and worked in Neshoba County Hospital and Neshoba County Nursing Home.  Mrs. Butler was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  She was a master gardener.

Survivors include her husband, Lamar Butler of Philadelphia; daughter, Susan (Greg) Hall of Clinton; son, Bill (Brooke) Butler of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Kaycie and Luke Hall, and Hunter, Hayden and Robin Hughes; brother, Neal Reese of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her brother, Lacy Reese.
