Robert V. Baker

Robert V. Baker died Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 92.

Robert was born and raised in Claiborne County and lived most of his life in Vicksburg, where he retired from Marathon LeTourneau. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and attended Northside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred H. Baker of Vicksburg; his two sons, Robert Baker of Pensacola, Florida, and Darrell Baker of Utica; his seven grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with Rev. Rocky Henriques officiating.

Interment will follow at Baker Cemetery in Claiborne County. Visitation will be from Noon Tuesday until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Baker, James Purvis, Buddy Kerr, Baker Purvis, Ethan Kerr and Greg Baker.
