Funeral services for William Jerome Jones Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Bethlehem M. B. Church with the Rev. Dennis Redden officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

William J. Jones Sr. passed away Saturday, May 11, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a sudden illness.  He was 59.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vinia Jones; his son, William J. Jones Jr.; sister, Bertha Maxwell; and brother Carl Vincent.

He is survived by Claudette King of Vicksburg; his sons, Tyrone King, Tevin Turner, Christopher Newell and Andrew King, all of Vicksburg; his daughters, Candace King and Raven Turner, both of Vicksburg; his brothers, Joe Willi Jones, John H Jones, Ernest Jones Jr. George E. Jones, Ronald Owens, Gregory Jones, Derrick Vincent; and Medgar May; and his sisters Lula Jones Bridges, and Annette Jones.
