After being closed for remodeling the past few weeks, the Wendy’s restaurant on Clay Street will reopen on Monday.

The restaurant has been remodeled inside and out, similar to the remodel done to the Wendy’s location near Pemberton Boulevard.

“With the reopening of Clay Street, and our reopening on Orme Street a few months back, Wendy’s has a totally fresh new look here in Vicksburg,” said Brian McDaniel, senior vice president of Carlisle Corporation, franchisee of The Wendy’s Company.  “Our investment into this community is a reflection of our commitment to Vicksburg, and we plan to be an integral part of the community for many, many years to come.”

Carlisle is a Memphis-based, family founded and operated specialty-hospitality company that owns more than 150 Wendy’s restaurants across the Southeast.

In a release announcing the reopening, Carlisle said “building new restaurants and remodeling existing restaurants is part of a multi-year strategy Carlisle has to continue to invigorate the Wendy’s brand experience throughout Mississippi. These projects have created new jobs and economic growth through construction and development throughout the state.”

A grand reopening celebration for the Clay Street location will be Monday at 10 a.m. In addition to a ribbon cutting, the restaurant will host raffles and offer giveaways as part of the celebration.
