Monday morning just before 5 a.m., Mississippi Highway Patrol was advised of an incident in which a tree had fallen onto a car. The car is a 2012 Nissan Sentra and was traveling eastbound on I-20 near the 7 mile marker when a tree fell onto it. The driver was not injured, but the tree caused both lanes to be closed. Mississippi Department of Transportation road crews were on scene clearing the roadway with the intention of it being fully opened by 8 a.m.
