Marjorie Helen Slater Strong passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2019. She was 86 years old.

Mrs. Strong was born in Learned. She had been a longtime resident of Vicksburg. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. Strong; sisters, Anna Pauline Templeton and Carolyn Rose Hearn; and her brother, Thomas Slater.

She is survived by daughters, Shirley Yarbro (York), Sandra Stinson (Quint) and Ginger Eahrhardt (Karl); son, Greg Strong; grandchildren, Mandy Poirier (Michael), Kyle Ehrhardt (Kim), Lauren McNair, Matthew Stinson (Stephanie) and Jennifer Stinson; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Ehrhardt, Kailyn Ehrhardt, Emmie Poirier, Elle Poirier, Izabella Stinson, Matt Stinson, Nate Tarver, and Kyzer Guillot; and sister Willie Merle Easter.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home with services beginning at 11 in the chapel with the Rev. Charlie Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Karl Ehrhardt, Kyle Erhardt, Quint Stinson, Matthew Stinson, Paul Carr, and York Yarbro.
