A woman was arrested on multiple charges after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase early Sunday morning that ended at the intersection of Halls Ferry Road and Pemberton Square Boulevard.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Jamie Tidwell, 46, of Vicksburg is charged with felony eluding and misdemeanor possession of marijuana in a vehicle. She was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
According to sheriff’s department reports, Deputy Robert Jackson responded to a call about a disturbance involving a man and a woman at the intersection of Oak Ridge Road and U.S. 61 North.
When Jackson arrived, the man, who was a passenger in the car, got out, but Tidwell drove off at a high rate of speed, leading Jackson north on U.S. 61, then south to Mississippi 27, then to Halls Ferry Road, where she was taken into custody at the intersection of Halls Ferry and Pemberton.
