Freddy Hatcher

Freddy Hatcher passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 at Claiborne County Hospital in Port Gibson at the age of 80.

Freddy was born on Dec. 12, 1938, the son of Earl D. and Vera Holliday Hatcher. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard; worked for Tembeck for 37 years and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bobby D. Hatcher, Stacey Hatcher and Lewis Hatcher; sisters, Jean Barksdale and Louise Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Hatcher; son, Kery Hatcher; daughter, Freida Hatcher; brother, Jimmie Hatcher; grandchildren, Kalyn Carter and Jack Johnson and great-grandson, Wynne Williams.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, with the Rev. James Twiner officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County

Pallbearers will be Michael Hatcher, Randall Hatcher, Eddie Hatcher, Britton Hatcher, Dean Hatcher and Kery Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Clyburn, Rick Watson and Gerald Saxon.
