Missy Gators crush Port Gibson

Two games, two easy wins for the Vicksburg Missy Gators.

Shakora Knight scored 14 points, Jayda Henderson finished with nine points and 11 rebounds, and the Missy Gators routed Port Gibson 69-18 on Tuesday for their second win in a row to start the season.

Twelve different players scored a point for Vicksburg. Knight and Yakia Burns, who scored 10 points, were the only ones in double figures. Nature Hall and Destini Sims scored six apiece.

The Missy Gators also racked up 23 steals as a team, with Burns getting a team-high four. Burns also had five rebounds.

Vicksburg has won its first two games against Natchez and Port Gibson by 36 and 51 points, respectively.

Vicksburg will next play at Madison Central on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.
