Annual Caroling Contest begins Tuesday
The 15th annual V105.5 Caroling Contest will kick off Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Vicksburg Convention Center.
Preliminary competitions will continue Thursday, Dec. 5, and Friday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m.
Preliminary finalists will be announced at the end of Friday’s competition and will go on to compete in the final round of competition, which will be held Saturday at 7 p.m.
The contest will be professionally judged, and tickets to the competition are $5 at the door.
This year, $10,000 in prize money will be awarded to the finalists and there will also be two drawings for $500 each to be given to two of the choir directors.
Over the past 14 years, the V105.5 Caroling Contest has awarded more than $100,000 to area schools, churches and individuals.
Competition performances are recorded and will be played back on V105.5 during the Christmas season.
