Funeral services for Gloria Steen Craig Strong will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. 

Mrs. Strong passed away Friday, Nov. 29 at her home after a brief illness. She was 64. 

She had worked at Waterways Experiment Station and was a member of Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church of Eagle Lake, where she was a mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam McFarland; her mother, Bernice Craig; her son, Michael Dewayne Strong; her daughter, Lee Bertha Strong; and  her brother, Samuel Craig, 

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Strong of Vicksburg; her three sons, Eddie Lee Strong of Chicago, Ill.; Patrick O’Neal Strong and Antonio Jerrell Strong, both of Vicksburg; her six daughters, Tangela Strong Qualls, Jacqueline Strong Regan, Patricia Strong Valentine, Betty Ann Strong, LaTonya Marie Strong and Kimberly Strong, all of Vicksburg; her brother, Charles Craig of Vicksburg; and her sisters, Betty Craig Brown and Eloise Craig Myers, both of Vicksburg; 21 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
