Martin Edward Hogan

Martin Edward Hogan passed away Dec. 10, 2019, at his home. He was 61.

He was the seventh of nine children born to Thomas and Mary Ethel Hogan of the Culkin Community. He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and a graduate of St. Aloysius High School.

Martin enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and helped with roof maintenance. He was a master sheet metal worker and roofer.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union No. 406.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Hogan Sr. and his mother, Mary Ethel Hogan; brothers, Patrick Aloysius Hogan and Denis Oliver Hogan; his son, Thomas Martin “Marty” Hogan; grandparents, aunts, uncles and several cousins.  

Survivors include his daughters, Angela Hogan (Gary Lick) and Olivia Hogan Ismail (Mo Ismail); one grandson; four brothers, Tommy Hogan, Mike Hogan, Jerome Hogan, and Phillip Hogan; two sisters, Marianne Hogan Nsour and Susan Hogan Schepens and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Lalor officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Ryan Hogan, Mike Hogan, and Tommy Hogan.
