Ada Lee Fife Hynum Dixon

Ada Lee Fife Hynum Dixon passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, in Port Gibson. She was 98 years old.
Mrs. Dixon was a native of Claiborne County. She was the daughter of William Joseph and Belle Westbrook Fife from Bruinsburg in Claiborne County.
She worked for National Plastics for 28 years. She was a Sunday school teacher and Bible school teacher for Pattison Baptist Church and Beech Grove Baptist Church where she was a member. She actively promoted the Bible Memory Association. She and “Mr. Dooley” taught their four sons to love God and his creation, gardening, farming, fishing and raising cattle.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Julius W. Hynum and Bob Dixon; sons, Marvin Winfred “Skeeter” Hynum and Phillip Randolph “Randy” Hynum.
She is survived two sons Julius Gage Hynum (Janet) and Jimmy Morris Hynum (Nancy); a stepson Mike Dixon (Evelyn); 3 stepdaughters Shirley Brown (Doug), Melissa Levine (Harry), and Emily Fose (Tom); brother Johnny Baker (Carline); 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Mary Everett.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, from noon to 2 p.m. with services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Rev. Michael Herrin will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hynum Cemetery in Pattison.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hynum, Jason Hynum, John Hynum, Lee Hynum, Nick Hynum, and Greg Hynum.
