Crime reports: Police investigating stolen vehicle report

The Vicksburg Police is investigating a report of a stolen vehicle from a home on U.S. Highway 61 South.

According to a release from the department Friday, a complainant came to the police department Thursday at around 12:45 p.m. claiming someone had stolen their 2003 Chevrolet Avalance the night before from their home.

• Thursday evening, shortly after 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for a residential burglary.

The complainant reported a suitcase containing clothes and a jewelry box containing jewelry and old coins were missing.

• Later Thursday, at around 9:48 p.m., officers responded to Parkwood South Apartments, 510 Bazinsky Road, for a complaint of shots fired. 

When the officers arrived they found no evidence of shots having been fired.
