Greenville-St. Joe takes two from PCA

The Porter’s Chapel Academy Lady Eagles put together an impressive second half Saturday night, but weren’t able to come all the way back and earn a victory.

The Lady Eagles scored 43 points in the second half after managing only 11 in the first, and trimmed a 24-point deficit in half before losing 66-54 to Greenville-St. Joseph.

The Lady Eagles trailed 35-11 at halftime and then outscored the Irish 43-31 in the second half.

Brittnee Martin scored 16 of her game-high 20 points in the second half for PCA, and Anna Grace White had all 13 of her points in the second half.

PCA will host Tri-County Monday at 6 p.m.

Greenville-St. Joe 65, Porter’s Chapel 31

Jerrian King scored 21 points, Mekhi Morris added 12, and Greenville-St. Joseph routed Porter’s Chapel for its fifth win in six games. The Irish built a 21-point lead at halftime, then outscored the Eagles 21-7 in the third quarter.

Luke Yocum led PCA with 10 points and Ricky Carraway added six.
