A Vicksburg woman faces a charge of aggravated assault for hitting another woman during a fight Wednesday at a home on Meadowvale Drive.

Nakeisha Blue, 34, 209 Hillside Drive, is being held without bail in the Madison County Jail pending an initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court Friday.

In other cases:

• A shoplifting call at Walmart resulted in the arrest of a Louisiana man on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Crescensio Mejias, 27, of 1111 Williams St., Tallulah, La., was arrested on the drug charge when officers found the meth during a search after his arrest for shoplifting.

He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

• Three televisions, two computers and jewelry were reported taken about 3:22 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 1100 block of Fayette Street.

• Shots were reported fired about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Letitia Street. Officers responding to the call found no evidence of shots being fired.
