A Redwood man faces theft charges after his arrest Sunday for driving a pickup reported stolen from a deer camp in the Redwood area.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said Bobby Alton Miller, 33, who gave an address of Washaway Road in Redwood, faces a charge of possession of stolen property. He is being held without bail in the Warren County Jail pending an initial appearance in Warren County Justice Court.

According to sheriff’s office reports, the truck, a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, was reported stolen from the camp Sept. 2, and the truck’s owner spotted what he believed to be his truck while driving on U.S. 61 South. He called 911 and Vicksburg police and sheriff’s deputies stopped the truck on the highway.

The truck had been repainted, but a check of its vehicle identification number indicated it was the truck stolen from the camp and Miller was taken into custody.
