Stephen Lance Kinnebrew

Stephen Lance Kinnebrew, age 56, of Vicksburg, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020.

Lance was born July 23, 1963, in Vicksburg, the son of Jerry and Marjorie Kinnebrew.

He graduated from Warren Central High School, Class of ’81, then continued his education at Mississippi State University and Mississippi College, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics.

Lance began his career at the Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, where he developed technology to enhance the capability of the United States Army.

He received numerous awards and patents for his work. Lance later worked for Hardwire, LLC where he continued to apply his talents to solving difficult problems.

Lance enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and spending time with friends, family, and his dogs.

He is survived by his son, James Kinnebrew; his mother, Marjorie Kinnebrew; his brother and his wife, Jerry and Debora Kinnebrew; his niece, her husband and daughter, Krista, Donny and Julee Guynes; all from Vicksburg. He is also survived by many other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kinnebrew.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
