One person hospitalized Friday following accident on I-20 westbound
Traffic along Interstate 20 westbound has returned to normal following an accident Friday morning in Warren County that has left one person with life-threatening injuries.
According to a release from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a passenger car traveling westbound left the roadway and struck several trees near the 9-mile marker.
The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. and slowed traffic along the interstate for more than an hour.
The driver, who was the sole occupant was transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Troopers report the crash remains under investigation and more information will be released pending the notification of family members.
