As part of a growing list of closures and cancellations, organizers with the Vicksburg Pilgrimage announced Monday afternoon that the first weekend of the planned three-weekend event has been canceled.

The decision was reached as part of the event’s response to the growing concern about COVID-19.

Decisions regarding the following two weekends of the pilgrimage are uncertain and are pending future dates.
