Crime reports: Arrests made for assault, drug possession

A Vicksburg man has been arrested and charged in connection to a stabbing Tuesday evening on Dabney Street.
On Tuesday, at 9:25 p.m., officers responded to an address in the 700 block of Dabney Street in reference to a disturbance. There, they made contact with a male subject who had been stabbed in the chest and the upper right arm.
Tevin Turner, 27, 740 Dabney St., was arrested at the scene for aggravated assault.
He appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday, where he received a $75,000 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Narcotics Arrest
On Tuesday, at 10:56 p.m., officers of the Vicksburg Police Department NET Team arrested Candace Buck, 36, of 1715 Martin Luther King Blvd., for possession of ecstasy. She appeared before Judge Lawson Wednesday, where she received a $2,500 bond and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Shots Fired
On Tuesday, 12:48 a.m., officers responded to the area of National and Washington Streets in reference to shots fired. No evidence of shots being fired was discovered.
Residential Burglary
On Tuesday, at 3:01 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Pearl Street in reference to a burglary. The victim reported that someone stole a Craftsman lawnmower and a Husqvarna chainsaw.
Shots Fired
On Tuesday, at 10:42 p.m., officers responded to New Main Apartments, 2727 Alcorn Drive, in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with several tenants, as well as checking around the buildings, and found no signs of shots fired.
