Jesse A. Boyd Jr. died Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He was 86.

He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School (Class 1952).

Jesse was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was the son of the late Jesse A. Boyd Sr., and Minnie Miles Boyd.

Jesse was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William David Boyd.

Survivors include his daughters, Theresa Bryant, Kathleen Day, Debra Seage of Magee and Marian Nicholas of Fredericksburg, Va.; six granddaughters, three grandsons and four great-grandsons. 

A graveside service will be Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Rusty Vincent officiating.
