Crime reports: Storage unit at Vicksburg High broken into, materials stolen

A storage unit at Vicksburg High School was burglarized Monday with individuals making off with thousands in construction materials.
Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to the high school, where it was reported someone went into one of the trailers at the school and took cooper and brass fittings with an estimated value of $30,000.
In other reports:
• On Monday, at 7:37 a.m., officers responded to BG Junior, 4110 Clay St., in reference to a theft. The complainant reported when they arrived to work, the Air King Air Pump, worth $1,000, was missing from the front of the store.
• On Monday, at 4:01 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Skyway Lane in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported a Coach purse valued at $700 was taken from the back seat of a Mercedes ml 350. The vehicle was unsecured.
