Crime reports: Officers respond to multiple auto burglaries, tire theft

Monday, officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to George Carr Buick-Cadillac-GMC in reference to a theft.

When officers responded, around 7:30 a.m. Monday, the victim reported that an “unknown male” had stolen four tires off of a 202 GMC Sierra truck.

• Monday, at 2:04 p.m., officers responded to Café Paradiso in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported someone entered a 2018 Ford Explorer and stole two wallets containing credit cards and $700. Later that day, the credit cards were used at the Dollar General store on Pemberton Square Boulevard.

• On Monday, at 3:46 p.m., officers responded to the Purks YMCA, 267 YMCA Place in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported someone shattered the back passenger window and stole a purse containing a wallet with multiple credit cards and checkbooks. The purse was recovered at Dollar General on Clay Street but $40, as well as multiple credit cards, were missing.

• On Monday, at 6:34 p.m., officers responded to Marian Lane in reference to shots fired. No signs of suspicious activity or evidence of shots fired was found.
